Todde House
Giuseppe Todde, a well-established economist and university professor built the house. He was born at Villacidro in 1829 and deceased in 1897.
"...An English lord, sitting on a healthy green throne within Sardinia": this is how Edoardo Scarfoglio describes the scholar from Villacidro. In 1882, the professor put the young Gabriele D'Annunzio up while he was visiting Villacidro during a trip to Sardinia. It was during this period that the young poet wrote the very verses that made the “Sa Spendula" waterfall famous.
The house’s structure was inspired by the houses of the well-off Tucsan middle classes and, regardless of changes made through out the years; its distinctiveness and elegance still remain intact.

Author's words
…He flew past the senator’s house, past the small square, decorated in flowers and leaves, of professor Todde, managing to stop at “piazza Frontiera”, which he crossed at a slow trot, swaying his hips with a perfect style in his knees. He headed towards piazza Cadoni…

Experiences
Stone and Clay houses
A maze of narrow cobblestone lanes and age-old stairs connecting them. Many houses were built from local stone (mostly granite) or cling breathlessly to the rocky walls, becoming an integral part of them.
